Honey Cabochon Amber Pendant

Pendant composed of a resin Cabochon of Amber Honey reconstituted out of Cabochon (35 mm by 25 mm) crimped on a Silver plated Metal mounting.
Amber is the fossilized resin of the pines (pinus will succinifera) which existed 50 million years ago, during the Eocene (beginning of the tertiary era).
Largest Amber dépot of the world is located in Samland (old Prussia Orientale). Hardness on the MOHS scale of hardness: 2-2.5. Density: 1.05-1.09.
