Black Jasper Necklace

Necklace of 45 cm made up of pieces of Jasper marbled Black.
Jasper is often assimilated to the group of Chalcedonies.
Some experts place it however in a family at share, but attached to the family of Quartz.
The jasper name comes from the Greek meaning "mouchetée stone".
Source U.R.S.S, The United States, FRANCE (Dauphiné). Jasper was employed in antiquity to carve cylinder seals, and like amulet against the evils of eyes and the dryness. Hardness on the MOHS scale of hardness: 6.5-7. Density: 2.58-2.91.
